During the first years the number of articles was not huge. According to the materials, collected in the nature reserve, there are around 25−40 articles published every year.

More than 400 students undertook an internship in the nature reserve.

The nature reserve's staff members participated in a variety of scientific conferences and meetings, among which there are:

• 150 international;
  
• 120 abroad;
  
• 28 All-Russian;
  
• 130 interregional and regional.
  

Since the foundation of the nature reserve 26 volumes of nature chronicles have been prepared, among them 15 have been published (Nature Chronicles, 1997-2011). The first Nature Chronicles was published in English (Annals, 2000).

After the translation of the first Nature Chronicles into English, the information about the monitoring at the site of Pasvik nature reserve in our country and the methodology became available and raised an interest from foreign partners.

The nature reserve's staff members published two bibliographic references, flora and fauna species lists as well as the range of guidance manuals and monographies.

Every year the nature reserve issues scientific and popular articles, takes part in conferences and meetings, international research projects and programs such as 'Monitoring of brown bears in the Trilateral Pasvik-Inari Park', 'The Green Belt of Fennoscandia', 'Red List of Barents Region', 'Red List of Murmansk Region', 'Seasonal life of the Kola Peninsula nature', 'Phenology of the Cap of the North', etc.

Some of the studies were published together with Norwegian and Finnish colleagues. For example, the illustrated book in Russian and Norwegian about the bilateral nature reserve (Wikan et al., 1994) and the book in three languages (including Finnish) about the Pasvik-Inari nature (Priroda…, 1996). In recent years there have been joint papers which have been published in foreign journals.
