Together we care about the northern nature!
The Pasvik River connects the three countries. It begins at Lake Inari which is the biggest lake of Finnish Lapland and flows along the border between Russia and Norway to the Barents Sea.
Pasvik-Inari is the habitat for many European, Asian and Arctic species. Nature knows no borders and we protect it together.
Since the Middle Ages the Sami, Finns, Norwegians and Russians have settled in the river's valley. Although different cultures coexist in the area and have learned a lot from each other, their cultures have distinctive traditions.
We develop ecotourism, conduct scientific research together and raise awareness of the park and region in each of the three countries.
